HAUZE family reunion, Luzerne Co., Pa., 1937 From Hazleton PA Plain Speaker, Fri. July 30, 1937 The sixth annual reunion of the Hauze family was held Sunday, July 25th at Mountain Grove picnic grounds with a total attendance of one hundred and sixteen. Due to the absence of the president, the business session was called to order by the vice president, when the following officers were elected: President, Willard Hauze; vice president, Paul Ravert; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Eva Miller. The reunion to be held next year at Ervin's Grove, Rock Glen on the last Saturday in July. The following were awarded prizes: John Hauze, coming the greatest distance, Philadelphia. Mrs. Ella Kirkendall, oldest lady, 81 years. Henry Hauze, oldest man, 85 years. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Hauz, largest family. Patsy Wainwright, youngest child, 15 months.
