Some time ago her children, Mrs. Catharine Entreken, Miss Elmira Schuler, Samuel and Edward Schuler conceived the idea of raising a purse with $80.00 for her, a dollar for every year of her life. Over that sum was raised and handed over to her, some of the money being sent from the states of Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mrs Schuler yet posses a keen intellect and keeps conversant with current events of the day.
