Text:   THIS STONE WAS ERECTED BY THOMAS EASTHAM IN MEMORY OF HIS GRANDDAUGHTER ANN JANE MARKLAND WHO DIED APRIL 1ST, 1865 AGED 2 YEARS AND 10 MONTHS ALSO ELIZABETH WIFE OF THE SAID THOMAS EASTHAM WHO DIED NOV 14TH 1869 AGED 70 YEARS ALSO OF PETER MARKLAND FATHER OF THE ABOVE, WHO DIED OCTOBER 5TH, 1885 AGED 59 YEARS AFFLICTIONS SORE LONG I BORE PHYSICIANS WERE IN VAIN TIL GOD ABOVE DISPLAYED HIS LOVE AND EASED ME FROM MY PAIN ALSO OF THE ABOVE NAMED THOMAS EASTHAM WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON THE 8TH DAY OF JULY 1874 AGED 80 YEARS HE WAS FOR 54 YEARS BEADLE OF ST GEORGE'S CHURCH A SERVENT UNDER THE EARL OF DERBYY FOR 56 YEARS. ALSO OF THOMAS EASTHAM MARKLAND SON OF THE ABOVE PETER, WHO DIED NOVEMBER 20TH, 1887, AGED 15 YEARS ALSO OF MARY, WIFE OF THE ABOVE PETER MARKLAND WHO DIED DECEMBER 2ND 1914, AGED 83 YEARS ALSO FOR EMMA MARKLAND WHO DIED JAN. 19TH 1951 AGED 80 YEARS
