Note: areers as telephone operators for the Bell Telephone Company in the days when all the operators were men. They both made careers with the company and were in management positions. I am told that both men were deeply involved in the computerization of the company. As youngsters, both brothers were also Eagle Boy Scouts and each saved a person from drowning. Needless to say, they were lifelong buddies. Their homes were just a block or so from each other, and they were always found together. Uncle Lester was the more solemn of the two, while Uncle Al was always kidding around, so they made a great pair.
