NC Elihu is listed as buying property in Acadia Parish 4/2/1891, 160,2900 acres Elihu and Elizabeth moved in 1880's to Evangeline, Acadia Parish, Louisiana. They are also listed in the William Wade Hinshaw quaker meeting records for Iowa: Bangor monthly meeting orthodox records vol. 1 undated "Elihu, w. Elizabeth, b. 8-6-1837, Guilford co. Elihu was alive in 1919 but very feeble and aged and living in Jennings, LA. this is from a Sussession for Elizabeth S. Coffin concerning her estate. Sons Clarence and Elihu are listed as not alive at that time, 1919. There is a quaker cemetery near the Evangeline Oil fields on Hwy. 97. 15 graves remain, six unmarked. one is possibility elizabeth Coffin. maybe even Elihu's
