a. Note:   #290 Fitted for college under Rev. Dr. Samuel Wood (of Boscawen) and graduated Dartmouth College in 1794. Read law with Thomas W Thompson and admitted to the bar in 1797. Practiced law in office at south road in Salisbury, NH. 1826 he moved to Concord, NH. Prior to the formation of a new county he was clerk of the cicuit court from 1816 to 1823. When Merrimack cty was organized, he was appointed clerk of superior court and continued there until 1834. He was clerk of common pleas in 1834 and returned to Salisbury, NH that year. In 1847 moved to Waltham, MA and died.
