Looked over Danville, not liking the land, and bought 100 acres in Sutton, Caledonia County, Vermont, USA on July 12, 1804 and moved his family there in February 1806 and moved into the house June 16, 1806 the same day David was born. Bought a tract of land adjoining his farm at the edge of Lyndon, Caledonia County, Vermont, USA and forced his father and siblings (except Hannah who had married) to move there by selling their home in Bow, NH (as he held the deed to it).
