Note:   When she was a little girl, gathering berries on a hill on the east side of the Merrimack River in Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA, she discovered a fawn asleep under some bushes. She took off her apron, threw it over the fawn, clasped it in her arms and carried it home. She sold it to Andrew McMilan for six (6) pounds of sheep's wool.
