a. Note:   Married and settled in Bridgewater, Grafton County, New Hampshire, USA. Enlisted April 23, 1775 in Captain Isaac Baldwin's company, Colonel John Stark's regiment as a private. Served 3 months, 16 days. Same company as his brother Collins. He again enlisted in Captain Hutchin's company, Colonel Joseph Cilley's regiment as a private and mustered in February 1778. His brother John was also in this company. He was in the battle of Bunker Hill, where his captain was killed. Claims of him being in the battles of Stillwater, Saratoga, and Monmouth, but no records prove it. He moved from Hopkinton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA to Bridgewater in 1804.
