a. Note:   #527 A farmer located about 1 mile east of the village of Medina on the line of the Erie canal. Moved west in 1830 with his 2 children from Buffalo, NY by boat & when opposite of Silver Creek, NY the boiler exploded and killed or scalded 30 people. He & his family escaped. A soldier in the War of 1812 at the battle of Plattsburg.
