a. Note:   #729 Sold his interest in the Green Brook farm in East Kingston in 1826 and moved to Canaan, ME & took his parents with him. 1831 moved to Harmony, ME and both of his parents died there. Studied medicine with Prof. Ingalls of Boston, MA and graduated in 1822. Began practice in Canaan, ME. 1835 moved to Ottawa cty, MI and established the town of Polktown and afterwards was changed to Eastmanville. His family was the 2nd white family to settle there. Was the 1st clerk of of Ottawa cty and several years was associate judge of the circuit. Was member of the Constitutional Convention in 1850. In 1858 he prepared a genealogical chart of the Eastman family which was revised in 1894. Spent the last years of his life in Chicago, IL where some of his children lived.
