a. Note:   States he's from the first wife, so birth may be 1736-1742. Moved from Stratham to Sanbornton before Revolutionary war. Settled and cleared farm lot #12, 2nd division; part before marriage to Abigail. He was one of "16 Sanbornton men" called to war prior to May 27, 1775. Was an "ensign" in Capt. Jeremiah Clough's company, Col. Poor's regiment.
