a. Note:   #123 First lived in Kingston, then settled to Deerfield on a large tract of land on the southwestern shore of Pleasant Pond in 1762. A selectman in 1772-1774. In 1776 was one of a committee to fix site for meeting house and in 1779 was one of committee of nine to build one. From 1775 to 1781 was elected delegate to represent parishes of Deerfield and Northwood in the congress at Exeter. From 1783 to 1784 elected to general assembly at Concord, NH. He signed the Declaration on April 12, 1776 in response to a call from Committe of Safety. From 1775 for 20 years he was town clerk. Active member in Church of Deerfield. Will date March 27, 1798.
