a. Note:   Contracted small pox in Montreal, Canada. Moved from Norwich, CT to Rupert, VT and located on Bristol Flats. His brother Jonathan followed soon after. One of the first selectmen in the town and appointed to commitee to lay out first division of lots of land and roads in the town. June 1791, militia company was organized and he was chosen captain. He had 10 children.
