a. Note:   #215 Died aged 95? Town clerk in Norway, ME for 40 years. Taught the 1st man's school in the town in 1803. One of the petitioners of Cummings' & Lee's grants in the town in 1795, treasurer of Norway in 1797, treasurer & selectman in 1798. In 1843 his house burned in the dead of winder and with his wife and another they escaped with nothing but their nighties. Help arrived late and they went to a neighbor's. Frostbit feet he survived another 2 years.
