When Ora and Myrtle were married, Ora was 'manager of an ice cream plant.' When Rose was born in 1939, Ora and Ella were living on Temple Court in Waterville, Maine and Ora was a 'salesman.' When Florence was born in 1946 Ora and Ella were living in Portland, Maine and Ora was a 'service man' and then self employed as an 'oil burner repairman' by the time Roberta was born in 1947. Obituary from the Monday, October 3rd, 1960 Waterville Morning Sentinel: --ORA R EASTMAN-- Ora Roland Eastman, 69, died Sunday afternoon at his home, 7 High Street. He was born in Buckfield, Sept 8, 1891, son of Albert and Effie Brown Eastman. He had been a resident of Waterville about 30 years. He was a member of the Getchell Street Baptist church and of Bourque Lanigan Post, American Legion. Mr. Eastman was married Nov 1, 1917 to Myrtle Stevens who died in 1935. In 1938 he married Ella Montfort, who survives him. Also surviving are three sons, Robert of Fairfield, Donald of Baltimore, Md., and Walter of Portland; eight daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bucknam of Oakland, Mrs. Helen Starbird of Danville Junction, Mrs. Evelyn Dibiase of Waterville, Mrs. Rose Micue of Clinton, and the Misses Phyllis, Florence and Roberta all of Waterville; a brother Reginald Eastman of New Bedford, Massachusetts; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Savage of Hollis Center and Mrs. Bertha Morse of Buckfield; 21 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the Getchell Street church at 2 PM, Wednesday. Friends may call at the Redington Funeral home, Park street, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
