a. Note:   Henry was a mason and a member of the 'Odd Fellows.' He was also a Civil war veteran who enlisted as a Private on 29 September 1862 at the age of 33. He enlisted in Company A, 23rd Infantry Regiment Maine and mustered out on 15 July 1863 in Portland, ME.
  On the 1860 Webster, Androscoggin, Maine census, p 22: Henry N., age 32, brickmason; Ada L age 23, Ida J, age 3, Viaty E age 1.
  On the 1870 Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine census p 172: Henry A, age 41, brick mason; Ada Eliza, age 32; Ida J, age 12; Albert, age 5; and Lucie, age 3.
  In the 1876-77 Lewiston City directory as "Eastman Henry N., mason, h. Wood, n. Skinner"--which I believe means he lived on Wood street north of Skinner, but I'm not sure.
  Death notice posted in the Lewiston Evening Journal of Monday, April 21, 1879: Henry N Eastman died April 19, age 50y, 2m, 17d. Funeral at Pine Street Free babtist church, Tuesday, 3 o'clock.
