  1912 - February 8 - from the Boone County Recorder newspaper: James Russell Easton, infant son of Ambrose Easton and wife, who died of pneumonia last Saturday at their home near Devon was seven months and two weeks old. The remains were brought to Hopeful last Sunday afternoon and after a brief and very impressive service conducted by Rev. Tomlinson, were interred in Hopeful Cemetery.

  1935 - November 25 Ambros & Linnie Easton grant a right of way and easement to The Union Light, Heat & Power Company on their Price Pike Farm ----Below transcribed from Boone County Deed Book 73, Page 99: In consideration of One ($1.00) Dollar receipt of which is hereby acknowledged we hereby grant unto The Union Light, Heat and Power Company , its successors and assigns, a right of way and easement, to construct, erect, operate and maintain thereon poles and all necessary wires, cables, anchors, fixtures and equipment for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy, in, on, over, through and across the following described real estate situated in Boone County, State of Kentucky, and bounded as follows: On the North by Price Pike. On the East by the property of H. Tanner. On the South by the property of H. Price. On the West by a County Road. The poles shall be located as follows: Along the south side of Price Pike, from the east to the west boundary line of said property; also along the west side of Price Pike from the north boundary line southwardly to the north boundary line. All poles are to be located along the road side of the fence, and, in the event said road is widened or improved, to move its poles, wires, anchors, and equipment on said real estate to permit said widening or improvement; together with the right to permit the attachment of the wires of any other company or person to said poles and fixtures, the right to out, trim or remove any trees, overhanging branches or other obstructions which may endanger the safety of, or interfere with the construction, operation or maintenance of said system, and the right to enter said premises for such purposes. J. Zapp of Price Pike entertained a few of their friends last Sunday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Mike O'Hara, Miss Mable Morris, J.W. FIRST: I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as possible. SECOND: I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife Linnie Easton my entire estate both real and personal, as long as she remains my widow, and for her lifetime, and at her death or remarriage, the remaining estate to be equally divided among my children, should any of my children be dead at that time their share to go to their living heirs and should they have no living heirs then their share to be divided among my children then living.   1940 November 20 Ambrose Easton died 20 Nov 1940 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington after 10 days of tobar pneumonia. My mom says he had been knocked unconscious by a thoroughbred race horse in the farm barn stall, that it crushed one of his lungs, and it went into pneumonia. He was 66 years old.
  1940 - November 26 - from the Boone County Recorder newspaper - Page 1, Column 1 : PROMINENT MAN SUCCUMBS AT 66 Following Brief Illness- Was Owner of Easterdale Farm Near Florence - Services Held Friday Ambros Easton, prominent Boone County farmer, passed away Wednesday of last week at St. Elizabeth Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Easton owned and operated Easterdale farm on the Price Pike, Florence. He was one of the county's most prominent farmers, and was well known throughout Northern Kentucky. He was a member of the Hopeful Lutheran Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Linnie Easton; three sons, Thomas, Kenneth, and Arnold Easton; and four daughters, Mr. Naomi England, Mrs. Sallie Prather, Mrs. Lula Tanner and Mrs. Mildred Snow. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Hopeful Lutheran Church, with Rev. H.M. Hauter, officiating. Burial was in the Hopeful cemetery. Phillip Taliferro, Erlanger, funeral director was in charge of arrangements. ----In the local news "Price Pike" section This neighborhood was shocked to learn of the death of Ambros Easton, who passed away Wednesday. Several from here attended the funeral of Ambros Easton on Friday.
  1940 - November 28, 1940 -- also in this issue of the Boone County Recorder newspaper under the FLORENCE NEWS, Page 7 : Boone County lost a highly esteemed resident, in the passing of Ambros Easton, prominent farmer and owner of Easterdale Stock Farm on Price Pike. Mr. Easton passed away Wednesday of last week at St. Elizabeth Hospital, following a brief illness. He was a noble christian, an exemplary and consistent member of the Hopeful Lutheran Church. He possessed many sterling characteristics. He was always ready to help those in need and loved his neighbors. Surviving him are his wife, three sons Thomas, Kenneth and Arnold Easton; four daughters, Mrs. Naomi England, Mrs. Sallie Prather, Mrs. Lula Tanner and Mrs. Mildred Snow, one sister and seven brothers and a number grandchildren. Last rites were impressively conducted at the Hopeful Church Friday afternoon in the presence of a vast assemblage, by his pastor, Rev. H. M. Hauter, with burial in the Hopeful cemetery. "So live that when thy summons come to join that innumerable throng which moves to that mysterious realm where each shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death, that we may be sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust and approach the grave as one who wraps the drapery of this couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams." The remains were removed to the Taliaferro Funeral Home for preparation. The deceased was a prominent farmer and horseman, being owner of the Easterdale Stock Farm, Price Pike, Florence, Ky. Mr. Easton is survived by his widow, Mrs. Linnie Tanner Easton; three sons, Thomas, Kenneth, and Arnold Easton; four daughters, Mrs. Naomi England, Mrs. Sallie Prather, Mrs. Lula Tanner and Mrs. Mildred Snow; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Hays; six brothers, Fonnie Vollie, Edward, Clarence, Everett and Homer (should be Omer) Easton. The six brothers acted as pall bearers. The funeral was held from the late residence with services at the Hopeful Lutheran church, Friday at 2 o'clock, Rev. H. M. Hauter officiating. Funeral Director Phillip Taliaferror had charge of the funeral arrangements.

  Ambrose's son Arnold 'Buck' Easton and Buck's wife Dorothy were living with Ambrose and Linnie Easton at the time Grandpa Ambrose was hurt and when he passed on to heaven. Ambrose's daughter-in-law Dorothy Easton recalls that he was laid-out in a large wicker basket-type casket at the farm house there on Price Pike.

Tanner (Deed Book 81-Page 314 recorded under Kenneth 'Johnny' Easton's information)
