Page 58: Ephraim Clore (son of Peter Clore) married Annie (probably error for Amy) Weaver, Dec. 28, 1801, Madison Co., Va. She is mentioned as Amy Clore in the will of Peter Weaver, March 3, 1816, Madison Co., Va. His birth is not recorded in the Hebron Birth Register, but was probably between 1776 and 1782, the period in which the records were poorly kept. On November 24, 1808 Ephraim Clore of Madison Co., Va., bought 20 acres of Peter Clore. He appears in the 1810 census of that county with three children under 5 years. He was a member of the Robinson River Baptist Church. From this church in August, 1822 he was chosen as the messenger to the Association. In August, 1823 he was dismissed from this church in order to form the new church, Beth Car, at Madison C.H., Va., along with Moses Clore, Margaret Clore, Frances Clore, Amey Clore (his wife), Tabitha Clore, Judith Clore, and Rhoda Clore. Judith was his daughter, possibly also some of the others. He moved to Boone Co., Ky., about 1830. Notes added 11-17-1953 by a great-great granddaughter, Mrs. Frances Berkshire of Florence, Kentucky, gives the date of birth of Ephraim as October 20, 1778, and date of death as December 28, 1801. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
