As for Louisa's death and burial, all I have is what is in Andrew's Civil War records. On one document, 1867 was stated. Another stated 1870. One, Jefferson Co KY, the other Louisville. Another has "soon after the close of the war". Neither had the cemetery. No record was found in Vital Records. I have looked in all the places I can think of, but no luck yet. Evidence shows he had a hard time getting his pension, and so did Minerva after his death. In fact, it appears that she never got it, but her son that she went to live with received expenses for her burial. Not much change in government 'red tape', huh! I had a brain storm about a possible way of finding Andrew in 1850. Maybe he was living with one of his brothers and not listed as Head of the Household. I've checked but haven't found him yet. Family story is that he studied medicine and was a midwife delivering some of his grandchildren. His brother, Francis Asbury Mitchell is listed as a physician in one or two places, but no Andrew with him. William Cairne Mitchell was his next oldest brother to him, but there again, no Andrew with him. Oh well, keeps my brain exercising! You have been wonderful to help me all that you have, and I really appreciate it. Always good to hear from you. Ru
