A copy of this is available at the Madison Co., VA Library. This manuscript is a typescript and update of another, handwritten, Clore-Glore Genealogy manuscript by Dr. Arthur Leslie Keith. The original of Keith's manuscript is at the Newberry Library, Chicago., IL. Please note that some of this information has been updated by other researchers in the meantime and I'll try to add notes with the current information. Page 126: He was teacher, surveyor, and for 22 years Deputy Clerk and Circuit Court Clerk of Kenton Co., Ky.
from "The Civil War in Boone County, Kentucky" by Jack Rouse: Ellis, John G.Adj. Gen. Rep. --He was listed in Co. F. - 8th Ky. Cavalry. I believe this man to be Boone County, not Covington, as listed in Adj. Gen. Rep. --From Mariage Book J: John G. Ellis married Betty Montague on May 28, 1867 in Boone County, Ky. --From Gallatin County Ky. Deed Book: John G. Ellis sold a parcel of land known as the ''A. Sheets Farm" to Andrew Ellis. This farm had 165 acres. John sold it on June 29, 1882, and in the deed records stated that John G. Ellis lived in Campbell county at that time. --Andrew and John G. Ellis were brothers.
