Marriage Bond by Kathy Caminiti : (when Eliza's last name is first written in the below document it looks like COWDER, when written the second time it looks like COWDEN?) Know all men by these presents that we Daniel Vaughan and James Riley are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the just & full sum of fifty pounds? & current money to the payment of which will and truly to be made we bond ourselves our heirs be jointly firmly by these presents sealed & dated this 21st day of October 1826. The condition of the above obligation is such that where as there is a marriage shortly interred to be solemnized between the above being Daniel Vaughan and Eliza Cowder. Now should there be no legal cause to obstruct the same then the above obligation be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
