Notes
a. Note:   Cabinet Maker/ Piano Maker
  Info from Bill Eastoe:
Gwen Collison, a great grand-daughter of Barnard and Matilda states that:
?We know that Matilda?s family was relatively well off, apparently Barnard was hired to do some carpentry work at the home and that is how they met. Her family was very much against the marriage. He was not a very nice person; apparently was a ?drinker?.?
  From Gwen's notes:
"Information provided by various descendants over the years is that Barnard was an abusive drunk. His two sons blamed him for their mother?s suicide in the St. Pancras area of London in1852, leaving three very young children motherless. Barnard was, as were many of the male members of his family, a talented woodworker, often recorded as a pianoforte maker. He was reputed to have been an employee of the prestigious MAPLES furniture makers. "
