a. Note:   In 1840 Mason Co., KY Census. Probably came through Pa. to KY.
  Joseph Peggs was born in Ireland and "saw the Royal George sink". The Royal George sank in Portsmouth, England, harbor in 1782. That must have been when Joseph was getting ready to cross the "big pond". 1400 people were killed in the disaster so I'm sure it was a widely known event.
