Note: f the town, where he cleared a farm. He married Susanna Noyes, and reared a familiy of twelve children, five of whom lived to maturity, namely, Timothy, Ebenezer, Phebe, Lydia and Samuel. Timothy was born in this town in 1790, and Ebenezer was born here in 1792. The former married Martha Northy, of Lisbon, and reared six children, four of whom lived to maturity, viz: John, Betsey, James and Samuel A. The latter is the present town clerk and treasurer of the town. Timothy died in 1877 and Ebenezer died in 1856. Ebenezer Eaton, a brother of Samuel, came to this town about 1785 or 1788, took an active part in town affairs, was selectman, etc.
