Note:   Elizabeth's DC incorrectly places her birthyear at 1875 and the birthplace at MS or AL. 1880 Census she claims her age is 21 and was born in AL with parents born in TN. 1900 Census she claims her birthdate is Jan 1860, her age 40, born in AL, parents born in AL 1910 Census, Daughter Ada claims her mother was born in Tennessee. 1920 Census, Elizabeth claims she is 65, born in AL, with parents born in MS. Daughter Ada's death certificate places mother's birthplace as Whitney, Arkansas.
  Obituary run in McCurtain Gazette, Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1928: "GOOD LADY DIES - Mrs. Lizzie Ayers, of this city, died Monday night at the home of her son, L.A. Ayers, of this city, after a short illness. Burial was had at Holly Creek today (Wednesday) at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Ayers is survived by two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Ada Hallbrook, Enid, OK; Mrs. Nellie Spencer, Wichita Falls, TX; L.A. Ayers of this city and P.A. Ayers of Texas. Mrs. Ayers was a good Christian woman and was loved by all her acquaintances. The Gazette extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives."
  From a letter dated 1-11-1991 by Kathleen Halbrook: "Mrs. Ada Halbrook - Borned Sept. 27, 1878 at Brinkley Ark., Monroe County. Married H.J. Halbrook May 18, 1906. Her mother was Elizabeth York of Tipton, TN"
