Family information was supplied by Mrs. Eva Heald, "Charles retired and lived a comfortable honorable and revered life at Clarendon. He was the oldest man living in the district who received pay from the South Penn Oil Co. and at his retirement from service he was able to hand over to the company the depth and the tubing depth of most of their wells drilled in the section.
As the family origin all I can say is that daddy Heald, (Charles W, father of Clarence) was half Scotch and half Irish, in his earlier years his sandy hair was enough to tell he had Scotch blood. Grandma Heald (Georgiana Lamb) was 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Scotch. Charles W. was b. in Hydetown, Venango Co. PA, 5 Mar. 1845. He moved to Clarendon in later years. He spent 17 yrs at Cobham Hill area where he pumped wells for the South Penn Oil, a branch of Standard Oil where he still worked for them until he retired in 1922.
Georgia Lamb was born 19 Mar. 1857, Nunda, NY., Her mother died when she was small and the father remarried. I have no further information other then she had older brothers and sisters unknown to us."
