State of PA., being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding (Praise be God for It) concerning the certainly of death the euncertainly of the time of and and to the end I may be the better prepared I to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me. Hence, do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following first and principally I commit my soul in the hand of my Creator who gave it. First it is my desire to be buried with as little expense as decency will permit and that all debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my descease can unionly may be. Second I give and bequeath my farm with the implemtns there and situate, laying in the township of Summerhill, Co. of Crawford, State of PA, it being the farm where I am now. To my 2d son, Perry Heald and his heirs conditioned that Perry Heath keep my dear wife in food and sufficent board and decent apparel during life time, and at her death give her a decent burial the bound for her maintance, the Allowance of my heir, as To Lisa Jane, wife of George Brawn, my oldest daughter, $300.00 and follows 100.00 with five years after my deceased and and $100.00 yearly thereof until the $300.00 is all paid up without interest until the payments securely &? became. And to pay to my eldest son, John W. Heald, $100.00 the next year after Eliza's last payment becomes due, without interest until due. Also the pay William Heald, my 3rd son, $50.00, one year after John's becomes due without interest until due. Also to pay my 2nd daughter, Martha, wife of William Mc Lear?, $6.00 to be paid one year after William's becomes due without interest until due. Also to pay my 3rd daughter, Rachel Heald, $50.00 one year after Martha'sbecomes due without interest until due. Also to pay my 4th son, Alben Heald $100.00 one year after Rachel's becomes due without interest. Also to pay my fifth son, Harvey Heald, $100.00, one year after Alben's becomes due without interest until due. Also to pay my sixth son, Thomas Heald, $100,00, one year after Harvey's becomes due without interest until due. And it also is will and desire that a certain note that I hold against my brother, Wesly Heald, as a numeration to him for his kindness to me in my illness. And I hereby constitute and appoint E.B. CONSTSEL ?? ESQ. of Coneautville, and Thomas Jenkins of Summerhill as my lawful executors of this my last will to settle my estate in the ? way and out of my personal property. If there is any balance of may left paying my debts I wish it it divivded among my three youngest sons, (Namely) Alben, Harvey and Thomas to assist them in schooling. To the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will of John Heald of Summerhill Township deceased who upon their solemn oath dote depose and say that they each were at the execution said will and heard the testator delcare the same to be his last will and that they each signed their names as witnessed at his request and in his presence and in the presence of other and that at the time of the execution or said will they the testator John Head to be of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of the knowledge and belief. Sworn and subscribed before: J.S. Proctor, this twenty nine day of) April, Wm. H. Dearborn, BB Cummings, Register . Children mention in will: Eldest son, John W. Heald, Second son: Perry Heald, Third son, William Heald, Fourth son:Alben Heald, Fifteh son: Harvey Heald, Sixth son: Thomas Heald, Eldest dau., Liza Jane Heald, Second dau. Martha Heald, third dau, Rachel Heald, Wesly Heald maybe William or Westley Heald John Heald my father, died 24 April 1858 and the above mentioned Family Bible descended to me which I hereby copy from said record located between the Old and New Testament of the said Family Bible.
