On 24 Sept. 1913, Clarence Wesley Heald of Clarendon, PA, , and Eva Maude Beecher of Warren, Pa., were married at Warren, Warren Co. PA., by H.H. Burr,Minister of the Gospel. At the time of their marriage Clarence Wesley Heald was a white laborer, born in Hemlock, PA. (Warren Co.) he resided at Clarendon, PA and was age 25 years. He had not been married before. His father was Charles Westley Heald, who had been in Crawford Co. PA., his occupation was oil producer and of Clarendon, PA. His mother was Georgia Sophia Lamb, a housewife, who had been born in NY, she resided in Clarendon, PA. Eva Maude Beecher was white, a telephone operator, who had been born in Warren, PA., and was 22 years old. She had been married previously. Her father was Asher George Beecher, who had been born in Cattaraugus, New York, he was retired and a resident of Warren, PA., her mother was Martha Matilda Winchester, who had been born in Springfield, IL., she was a housewife and her resident was not required, (inform: Marriage Lic. PA, - Double Run - Warren fireman made a double run to the home of Clarence Heald, 7 Bradley street, early this morning. They were first called out at 2:47 a.m. when a backfire in the motor of a Model A Ford started a fire in the vehicle. The fire was apparently out when they arrived, and after giving the machine a thorough inspection, the firemen returned to their quarters. Meanwhile Mr. Heald went to a doctor's office to have his hand treated for a burn which he suffered while fighting the fire. When he returned with a neighbor some time later, he noticed smoke issuing from his car and firemen were again summoned. Clarence Wesley H b, 25 Mar 1888, in Warren Co. "Clarence Wesley Heald, 82, OF 50 Musante St. Pleasant Twp, died at home at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, 21 Feb. 1971, He had been ill for the past several months. He was born 25 Mar. 1888, in Warren Co. PA, and was a lifelong resident of this area. He resided at 7 Bradley St,, Warren, for many years. He was an employee of United Refining Co, for 37 years and retired in July 1954. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and had served on the administrative board and board of trustees of the church. Survivors include his wife, Eva Beecher Heald at home, three daus., Mrs, Gerald (Kathleen) Myers of Clarendon Heights, Mrs, Orval (Martha) Longcor of Vallejo, Calif,, and Mrs, George (Marian) Emmet of Port Allegany, PA, , two sons, Merle Heald of Bemus Point, N.Y, and Clarence Charles Heald of Jamestown, N.Y, Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m, Tuesday at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p m, Wednesday with the Rev. R.G. Lilley of Epworth United Methodist Churvh officiating.
