After Rilla Higdon Edwards died when dau Sylvia Higdon was 3 years old, David Newton Edwards md a couple more times and had a couple more children. Daughter Sylvia was taken by David Newton Edwards sister, Rose Belle Edwards Alvey and Frank Alvey, to rear. Sylvia had little contact with her father after her mother died.
