!Narrative by Lee Upshaw as told to his daughter, Mary Lee Bost (Lee is Berl's youngest brother): In 1899 Leroy & Mary Ellen and their family including married sons Virgil and Jonathan crossed the plains in covered wagons. Pleas drove their wagon. Their dog went missing during the trip and made it back to the old home place in Missouri when Berl (another son of Leroy & ME) was still living. Later Berl moved to near Carney, Lincold county, OK and he and his wife and small son, Lem, shared a small house with Berl's parents and his younger siblings.
