(this conflicts with other information that she was born in NY); Matilda completed the 8th grade. Reported to be the mother of the head of household. Others in the home: Thomas J Donaldson (57), Emma N Donaldson (54), Alice M Donaldson (30), Mary K Donaldson (23), Elizabeth J Donaldson (27). Elizabeth is the cousin of the head of household (Thomas). Clearly Matilda is not the mother of Thomas, but the aunt. Thomas was b. Scotland. They all were living in the same house in 1935.
