Enlisted in Civil War (Union side) on Sept.. 23, 1862 from St. Louis, Missouri. Rank: Private. 17th Regiment, Missouri Infantr, Company C.. Died at a Memphis, Tenn. Shelby County field hospital on March 29, 1863. Cause of death listed as dysentary (National Archives).
