a. Note:   Died aged 92 years, buried Old Hoge Cemetery near immaculate Conception Church
  Obit of Richard Mounts Sr Washington November 10, 1864 {MOUNTS-- At his residence near Washington, in the 10th instant, Richard Mounts Sr. in the 92nd year of his age.He was born in Maryland, but came to this place , at the age of 16 years (*probably should read 6 years*). The wife of his youth, (Mary Kelly, born on the Atlantic) departed this life in 1841. Of his children, three are dead, seven survive. He passed a quiet life, was prosperous in business, enjoyed the confidence of his fellow men and leaves behind 'a good name'. He made a profession of religion under the ministry of the Rev. Thomas Leslie Birch in 1804, but upon the settlement of the Rev. Dr Mathew Brown, the pastor of the Presbyterean Church of this place 1805, he came under his pastoral care and spent the remainder of his life in the same communion. For a number of years, he was unable through bodily infirmity, to go to the House of God, but in addition to the private means of grace, he greatly enjoyed the religious services which were from time to time held in his home. He died happily, professing himself at peace with his fellow man and most of all entrusting his eternal _______ to the "Shepard and Bishop of Souls"}
  * I believe this age should read 6 years instead of 16, an error later picked up by Beers in subsequent biographies of children and grandchildren.
