Continued: Tallie Ford Morton married Jessie on 20 Mar 1929. Tallie and Jessiehad two children, Kellogg and Carol Laverne. After Tallie and Jessie separated, Tallie continued to live in Toledountil a job related fall claimed his life in 1960. Tallie fell 15feet from a hot blast main, which was a supply pipe to a blastfurnace, at the Interlake Iron Company at 2401 Front Street in Toledo. Tallie suffered a fractured skull and died at St. Vincent Hospital.Tallie was said to experience Epileptic seizures occasionally. He isburied at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Toledo, Lucas Co., OH. Tallie doesnot have a headstone. Tallie was known for his love of fine tailoredclothes and frequently a wide brimmed hat. Tallie and Theodore both died at St. Vincent Hospital and theirfuneral services were each handled by Dale Funeral Home in Toledo. Jessie had other children after she and Tallie separated. There werefive Morton children listed in Kellogg's funeral program. Familysources indicated that Jessie did not re-marry. Jessie and daughter Carol Laverne were living in Chicago at the timeof the 1985 Family Reunion but Jessie died prior to the FamilyReunion in Chicago in 1994. Kellogg was living in Atlanta, GA at thetime of his death in Apr 1995.
