Note: ! It is thought that Hugh died unmarried. About the only record found of his activity was in 1769 when he was a 'bondsman' for the marriage of a daughter of Robert and Ruth Stovall Hairston , named Martha who married Alexander Hunter. This same record stated that permission to be married was given by the parents , which would have indicated that perhaps Martha was under legal marriage age . Hugh was mentioned in Andrew's will as it was created before Hugh died . A record of Hugh's estate was made September 28, 1778 in Bedford County Virginia.
