Note: ! Data on this James comes from an application for a pension that he made and stated that he was born in 1766 [but unfortunately that page of his family bible was missing ! ] . But I think we can safely assume that he was correct in his birth date . He also had a son John B. Hairston who moved to Georgia and filed another claim for this pension from there about 1851/1852. In his will he leaves everything to his wife Jane .
