On the 1860 Montgomery County Alabama he is listed with his son William R. and his age then is given as 67 years and being born in South Carolina. An interesting sidelight is that a son of this John Robertson Hairston is listed in the 1820 and 1830 Upson County Alabama census . We assigned the children born through 1822 to Nancy Sanford, children after that time must have been with Martha Watson.
