Notes
a. Note:   ! It was said that he came out of the Civil War a Major, although he was never actually in the Confederate Army ! So the term Major must have been acquired when he was a member of the Mississippi State Militia. He went first to Alabama from Georgia, then to Mississippi and finally into Texas. He appeared to be some sort of Minister, but nothing definite on this aspect. His tombstone in the cemetery is one of the larger stones, laying flat with a long story enscribed on the stone about his life. Thomas and Jack Haynes, Albert's brothers, came to Texas with him and they arrived about 1841. There were 17 children !
