Note: ! He was in the Civil War, listed as 'A. B.' Hairston in 5th Infantry Regiment Texas, he enlisted July 15 1861 in Milam County at age of 19. He was furloughed to Montgomery County Alabama from Virginia in Februaruy 1864 and was later listed as AWOL. Last entry in record May-June 1864 says he died from fall from a car [railroad car?] in February 1864 in Alabama.
