Note: ! He must have been married 1857/1858 to Margaret, there is mention in the court records on the probating of Catherine Griffin Hairston's estate that he had married again. However , we found no evidence of a divorce, just the court mention that Margaret had no claim on the estate of the deceased wife of Richard. There were no children from this union. But then Richard marries again in 1860.
