a. Note:   ! There are some questions about Joshua that have not been answered. According to census records we surmised that he was born in 1790 or after, we think it was 1790. In his father's will there was specific instructions to two of his brothers that they should see to the education of Joshua. Since their father died in 1799 or thereabouts , it would appear that Joshua must have been the last child born. There is no specific proof at this time that he died in Titus County Texas, but all the clues we have gathered so far have pointed in this direction . It would appear that the people we have found there on census are logically part of Joshua's family, we have pretty well eliminated all the other possible Otwell families that they might have originated from .
