Note: Zdzislaw von Brezany graduated as a barrister and served as a Chancellor of State. As of 1960 he was 85 years of age and still living in Poland. According to his brother Minio "through the war chaos he had retired. He is leading a very wearisome life out there in Poland." In his own words written in pencil on a postcard and postmarked 01.2.63 (translated from Polish): My dear Eugene III, Received you letter today. Thank you for the feastday greetings and for the picture which is very beautiful. If an occasion presents itself for recognizing this ______________ talent for dramatics, then I wish you luck, because you may make a career of it and become rich. For the past four years unfortunately I've been bedridden for I have hardening of the arteries and hence cannot walk, and a weakening of my heart, despite having lived 87 years, hence every month is like the preceding one. I'm sending you all most heartfelt greetings. Sincerely yours, Zdzislaw
