Note: 1. He had 10 children. 2. Copied from the 1985 History of Nicholas County, WV: "Dennis H. Foster, son of Okey Johnson Foster and Mary Everette Simms, was born May 12, 1910 at Gad. He was married to Anna Madalene Hughes on Feb- ruary 14, 1931. She was born November 5, 1914, the daughter of Richard Franklin Hughes and Sarah Elizabeth O'Dell. Their home was located on Salmons Creek just above the Salmon Run boat ramp of the Summersville lake. In 1961, they moved to a new home built on a portion of the original Hughes homeplace. Dennis was a heavy equipment operator. He served in the Navy during World War II. They were active members of the Calvary Baptist Church in Summersville. Dennis died of a heart attack at home on March 11, 1984. He is buried at the Zoar Baptist Church cemetery at Kesslers Cross Lanes. Reside in Clearwater, FL. -- Virginia Madalene, b Mar 22, 1937; m James Darrell Johnson Sep 5, 1959. Live in Craigsville. -- Mora Pearl, b Aug 17, 1938; m Dale Leonard Ramsey Mar 1, 1958. Live at Mt. Nebo. -- Lenora June, b Jun 9, 1941; m Bruce Irwin Gower Jul 17, 1977. Live at Summersville. -- Fred Herndon, b Aug 28, 1943; m Patsy Beryl Groves Nov 30, 1964. Fred is a coal miner and they live at Summersville.
