Note: 1. Copied from the Lawrence J. McCutcheon manuscript: "A telegram telling of the death of Jesse Campbell was received here last week by relatives. Jesse died at his home in San Francisco last Sunday at the age of 60 years. Funeral services were held in Wirbaldi Funeral Home and burial was there. He was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Campbell and grew to manhood here. Several years ago he left for California to make his home. He was successful in business until a heart attack forced him to retire two years ago. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, also by the following sisters, Leota McCutcheon, of Webster Springs, Betty Painter of Morgantown, Sada Shill and Madge Dowling, of Washington, D.C., and one brother, Hern Campbell of Akron." (from an obituary published in the Nicholas Chronicle of 17 Nov 1949). 2. His children were: Catherine, Ruth, Barbara, Grant, "Sister" and John Andrew. 3. His second wife, Marian Mayer, was from Tindlay, OH and was born in 1902. Her father was an Ohio native and her mother was born in Vienna, Austria.
