a. Note:   1. Graduated from the University of Missouri Medical School on 6 Sep 1879 as a physician and surgeon; William Turner, his uncle, helped him obtain his education. 2. Copied from the 12 Sep 1939 Decateur Herald: "Hallsville Physician Dies in Bloomington Hallsville--Dr. C.T. McLean, 84, a practicing physician here since 1879 died at 2 a.m. Sunday in the Mennonite hospital, Bloomington where he had been a patient since last April. He was born near Columbia, Mo. and was graduated by the University of Missouri. In 1879 he located here where he spent his entire professional life and practiced medicine until two years ago, when he retired on account of failing health. He was never married and the only surviving relatives are cousins in Missouri. Dr. McLean was a member of the Hallsville Christian church and the Masonic lodge. 3. Is buried in the mausoleum in the Clinton, IL cemetery.
