Note: 1. Was a widow in 1910 with a son, Jewell T., age 2, born in Colorado. 2. Copied from the 1 Jul 1971 issue of the Wray Gazette: "Elizabeth Wise passes away at Wray Hospital Elizabeth Wise, daughter of Nancy and John McLean, was born at Mexico, MO Dec. 7, 1888 and departed this life at Wray Community Hospital June 21 at the age of 82 years. She moved to Colorado with her family in 1906 and was united in marriage to Homer Wise Oct. 26, 1912. To this union three sons were born: Leland, Arnold and John. The family lived on a farm near Kirk for several years. In May of 1950, she moved with her husband to Canon City and in September of 1956 they returned to Stratton, where they lived until her husband's death. Mrs. Wise moved back to Kirk in 1959, where she resided until her death. She was a faithful member of the Kirk Baptist Church. Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer; and two sons, Jewell Graves and Leland Wise. Survivors include: One brother, Tyson McLean and a sister, Maggie Shivley, both of Kirk; two sons, Arnold of Kirk and John of Denver; three daughters-in-law, Betty, Helen and Lucille; six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild."
