a. Note:   1. Copied from the Nicholas Chronicle of 8 Dec 1903. "MRS. EDNA CAMPBELL FOSTER Death has again entered the house of one of our neighbors, and in obedience to his summons, Mrs. Edna C. Foster, on Sunday evening, Dec. 6, 1903, "fell on sleep." Mrs Foster was aged about seventy-six years. She was a daughter of the late Abraham J. Campbell, and the widow of Andrew B. Foster, deceased. She leaves to mourn their loss three sons, Creigh V., John and Norvel C. Foster, and two daughters, Miss Sarah M. Foster and Mrs. Mary Huddleston. One daughter, the wife of Noah F. Sparks, has been dead many years. Mrs. Foster's two brothers, Paley L. and Andrew N. Campbell, and one sister, Mrs. V. Miller, survive their sister, and are the only members of A.J. Campbell's family now living. Mrs. Foster had many friends and relatives in this county who will be grieved when they learn of her passing away. She was an excellent woman and loving, tender, mother; a kind neighbor; charitable in all things, and had for years been a consistent, faithful member of the Missionary Baptist church. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; yea, saith the spirit, for they do rest from their labors and their works do follow them."
