Notes
a. Note:   1. Copied from the Virginia F. Hamilton Campbell Family History manuscript: "Paulina J. Campbell McCutcheon was a real Christian woman. She was a woman of more than ordinary intelligence. She was a great Church and Sunday School worker and taught a class in Sunday Scho9l at Salem Baptist Church for fifty years of more. She never missed a Sunday with her family at Sunday School if nothing occurred to prevent. At one time she owned a grey horse that was very gentle. When Sunday morning came she would get on the horse and take one child on her lap and two behind her. Uncle Henry and two of the boys would walk. All went to Sunday School. I remember seeing Aunt Paulina coming up to Cross Lanes one Saturday evening to visit her two brothers, Paley and Andrew Campbell. She was riding her trusty horse with her baby girl, Viola, on her lap. Arch and Flora on behind her. Sunday morning Aunt Paulina came to our Sunday School at Zoar Church. We were glad to see her. She helped with the lesson. After Sunday School was over, Aunt Paulina made such a nice talk to the young people advising them how important it was for them to attend Sunday School."
