Obituary, probably a Belleville, IL newspaper of 5 Apr 1946: "Ernest G. Yehling Dies At St. Louis At 59; Rites Monday Belleville relatives received word today of the sudden death of Ernest G. Yehling, 59, husband of the former Cora Hepp of this city, who was found dead in his home, 4916 Neosho street, St. Louis, by his wife when she returned to her home after a brief absence yesterday afternoon. Death was due to a heart attack. Yehling for many years and at the time of his death was a yardmaster for the Terminal Railroad Company. He was the brother-in-law of Assistant City Treasurer A.J. "Burry" Hepp, Frank and Monroe Hepp, of Belleville. Besides his wife he leaves two sons by an earlier marriage, a brother and sister. He was a member of various Masonic bodies in St. Louis. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon in John L. Ziegenhein and Sons funeral home, 7027 Gravois avenue, St. Louis, with interment in Sunset Burial Park." 7. Yehling, 58, superintendent of the Merchants Bridge Terminal of the Terminal Railroad Association and former director in the St. Louis area of the Office of Defense Transportation during the war, died Thursday of heart disease at his home, 4916 Neosho st.
